Timothy Baguma’s fortune might be meagre compared to that of many of the personalities Pakasa usually pro les, but his story is just as compelling.

Having dropped out of school in P4, he cannot read or write, yet he refused to be held back by the stigma that comes with being illiterate.

From selling chewing gum to fellow pupils for the short time he was in school, Baguma has, with the help of a schooled wife, scaled the heights.

Fondly referred to by his countrymen as “the illiterate billionaire”, Baguma, 46, told Andrew Masinde his story. You can read more of this story here at E-paper
