By Sarah Zawedde

A four-month-old baby was last Friday morning found suckling his dead mother in her rented house at Ketifalaawo Zone in Kawempe.

Shamim Nanteza had passed away in her sleep. Her nieghbours said they were forced to break down her door after hearing endless wails by the baby and thought she had gone somewhere and left him locked up.

However on checking on her they found her cold and motionless.

A neighbor to the deceased, Shamim Nabukeera, said she had just shifted to the house the previous afternoon. She said she even gave the deceased bathing water and she appeared fine.

Police were called in and took the body to Mulago hospital mortuary for postmortem.
