Authorities in Rugaaga Sub-county in Isingiro district are holding two health workers attached to Rugaga Health Centre 1V for allegedly abandoning their work and resorting to binge drinking.

The Rugaga Sub-county chairman, Mathias Tushabeomwe, says the arrest followed a prompt visit to the health unit only to find just two of the 24 staff on duty.

Tushabomwe adds that the health officials were arrested in bars near the Health Center enjoying alcohol with Government drugs stashed in their pockets.
