A woman was on Saturday found dead in a lodge in Central Ward, Central Division, Kabale municipality.

Rose Nasasira, 30, was discovered dead at around 9.00pm in Buzaniro bar and lodge after the staff became suspicious when she spent the whole dead locked up in her room and did not come out.

They were forced to break down the door and found Nasasira’s lifeless body sprawled on the bed.

Staff at the lodge said the deceased checked into the lodge alone at around 8.00am and first bathed before locking herself in room number 4 where she remained until nightfall.

Nasasira, whom the lodge staff said appeared unwell, was believed to hail from Mbarara and had reportedly gone to trace for a relative in Kabale.

The South-South Western Police Spokesperson, Elly Maate, said that the Police visited the scene and took the body to Kabale referral hospital for postmortem.
