Three games to play, two teams in contention. That is the state of the title race in the Multiple Industries division one cricket league heading into today’s crucial round of matches.

Leaders Wanderers and second-placed Tornado look firmly on course to victory in their respective matches, an outcome that could see the championship decided when the two teams clash in the final game of the season that will be held soon.

Wanderers take on Challengers at Lugogo while Tornado play Nile at Kyambogo.

Wanderers have the easier assignment by far as Challengers are last on the table, a mammoth 41 points behind the leaders.

By comparison, Nile embody a degree of danger for the Tornado outfit.

Nile are fourth with 33 points although that only leaves them 19 points behind Tornado.

The top two are separated by six points, which means there is a lot of life left in the title race.

The possibility of upsets aside, the unpredictable weather could have a huge say in the destiny of the annual championship held under the auspices of Uganda Cricket Association.
