Police have pulled out of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) leader Col. Kizza Besigye's home at Kasangati in Wakiso district, saying he was free to move but maintained that his movements will be monitored.

Police had since Monday restricted Besigye from leaving his home saying that he had plans to interrupt the Independence Jubilee Celebrations held Tuesday at Kololo Independence grounds.

Kasangati Division Police Commander, Seiko Chemonges said Police will continue monitoring Besigye's movements to avoid causing disorder in the city.

Besigye has twice beat security at his house and appeared in the city center to participate in the Walk-to-Freedom protests.
