President Yoweri Museveni Monday morning launched a jubilee Bible at prayer breakfast organized by Parliament.

The prayer breakfast under the theme:  Ebenezer Uganda: Towards National transformation was held at Africana Hotel in Kampala.

The President was accompanied by First Lady who is also the minister of Karamoja affairs, Janet Museveni.

Addressing the gathering, Museveni said that the advent Christianity in Africa added value to the African heritage.

Quoting from the Bible, the President appealed to Ugandans to love one another as Jesus implored his followers to love their neighbors as they love themselves.

The Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga assured Ugandans that legislature will continue to execute its constitutional mandate giving priority to issues that affect the wellbeing of Ugandans.

Due to the President’s tight schedule for jubilee fete including launching of Bujagali power project later in the day, the President said, “I will not be with you for the rest of this program, I now appoint the Speaker as acting President.”
