South Sudan President Salva Kiir, President Joseph Kabila of Congo and Pierre Nkurunziza of Burundi on Sunday jetted into the country for Uganda's Golden Jubilee independence celebrations slated for Tuesday.

Kabila, Kiir and Nkurunziza become the first heads of state to arrive for the big do that will take place at the refurbished Independence grounds at Kololo Air strip.

15 presidents have confirmed their attendance to celebrate with Uganda its Golden Jubilee. The Duke of Kent, who is representing the Queen of England, arrived in the country last week.
