Today: Multiple Industries League
Division 1
Patidar         v      Wanderers
Tornado       v      Charity
Nile              v      Rounders

Division 2
Tornado B   v      Warriors
Lions           v      SVPC

'We can see the finish line now'. Those are the words of Wanderers captain Denis Musali ahead of his team’s critical Multiple Industries division one cricket league clash with Patidar today at Lugogo.

Simply put, this game will go a long way in deciding the 2012 national league championship.

“The reality for us now is that we just have to win all our games and win the league,” Musali stated. “There is no mathematics involved like has been the case in recent years. We can see the finish line now.”

Wanderers lead the standings with 52 points, six points ahead of second-placed Tornado and 13 ahead of third-placed Patidar.

The defending champions are not in command of their title hopes and defeat to the Wanderers will all but extinguish them.

But star batsman Lawrence Sematimba says the champions are not going down without a fight.

“We desperately want to retain our title,” Sematimba said. “We are coming out to fight.”

Sematimba has recovered from an injury he picked up two weeks ago as he led the Warriors to the East Africa Premier League title.

And despite going down with a fever in recent days, Sematimba has vowed to face the Wanderers.

At the same time, Tornado could go level on points at the top if they thump Charity at Kyambogo and Patidar thrash the Wanderers.
