Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) boss Kizza Besigye is again under arrest at Kampala Central Police Station after he eluded security and entered the city.

Our reporter at the scene says there is heavy security deployment at the police station.

To many, this has turned into a cat-and-mouse game between security operatives and the adamant opposition leader.

Earlier this week on Monday, Besigye found his way out of his Police-guarded house in Kasangati unnoticed and made his way to the city.

Police had deployed at the opposition leader's home after learning that he had had his sights set on holding a rally at the constitutional square in the city centre.

Police later intercepted him in town as he tried to address his supporters at Kiseka Market, arrested him and whisked him off to the Central Police Station.

Other members of the opposition also clashed with Police chief Kale Kayihura's men in what was said to be a renewed version of last year's 'walk-to-work campaign', now dubbed the 'walk-to-freedom'.

The events come only days to Uganda's jubilee celebrations slated for October 9.

Police has since come out to warn against and put a ban on any rallies held before the commemorative event in Uganda's history.

They say the rallies are a threat to national security and therefore are illegal.

But the opposition has since come out to decry the ban.
