Police has closed Panamera Bar in Naguru opposite Kampala Parents School, following the unclear circumstances under which one of its workers Badru Katerega was killed over the weekend.

When we visited the place on Tuesday, a Police notice pinned on the gate read; "Panamera bar is temporary out of bounds to the public" The bar is owned by a prominent
businessman in Kampala, Des Kananura.

Katerega who worked as a  bartender was allegedly killed by his boss and security guards over sh30, 000, which he had reportedly received from one of the customers as a tip.

Kira Road Police station boss, Robert Walugembe, said Police is protecting the area from people who may  to try to tamper with its investigations.

"You know the key suspect (Kananura) is also the owner and is in hiding. We have decided to close the area since we need more evidence. We don't want anyone to tamper with anything until the suspect is arrested," he added.
