Jailed former Kampala socialite Shanita Namuyimbwa a.k.a Bad Black, who was recently charged with traffic offenses has been granted bail.

City Hall Grade I Magistrate, Julius Borore on Monday granted Black a cash bail of sh800, 000.

Her sureties were bonded at sh20m each (non cash).

Bad Black, as she is popularly known, is serving a four-year jail term behind bars at Luzira Prison in Kampala for fraud.

She was accused of injuring a six-month-old baby and her parents in a gruesome accident.

Prosecution alleges that Black caused an accident in which six-month-old Jamila Namulindwa and her parents, Ismail Nsamba and Fatuma Namusoke were seriously injured.

It is reported it was a hit-and-run accident.

At the time of the incident, Black was driving a silver Mercedes Benz of registration number UAM 833Z early December last year.

The hit family was riding on a motorbike at Acacia Avenue in Kampala at the time of the clash.
