The police have written to the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga, summoning the Kampala Central Member of Parliament Muhammed Nsereko for interrogation in relation to a bank fraud case against him.

Nsereko has been linked to money laundering in which Police detectives questioned several senior managers of Crane Bank in Kampala.

Ibn Senkumbi, the police spokesperson for Kampala Metropolian said that investigations are ongoing and revealed the preliminary information reveals that the fraud was committed in Kenya and Germany.

“We have established fraud is across the border. Today we shall deliver a letter to the Speaker of Parliament, summoning Nsereko to appear for interrogation on Thursday,” Senkumbi said Monday.

A female employee at one of the branches in Kampala said to be close to Nsereko, is among staff that recorded statements last week at the Central Police Station in connection with the case involving about sh300m that was transferred from the bank and paid out through Western Union to Nsereko, the MP for Kampala Central Division.
