The Woman Member of Parliament for Rubabo Hon Paula Turyahikayo has been flown in chopper to Kampala hospital after her car UG O230K was involved in an accident at Kiborogota, 13km from Rukungiri town.  

Her sister Dinah Karwemera is admitted in the intensive care unit at Nyakibale mission hospital.

 Four other people died on spot in the accident that occurred along Ntungamo - Rukungiri road at around 1:00 pm this afternoon while the fifth person died shortly after reaching the hospital.

The district Police commander Rukungiri Ruhunde Christopher said the accident was due to reckless driving after one vehicles tried to overtake three others.

Other vehicles involved are UAF 600V Toyota corolla and UAL 539Q a Karibu vehicle.

The dead were identified as Muhumuza Zubair 30 years from Kabingo Kebisoni , Sanyu Alex Saasi from Kebisoni Town Board and Kamusiime Prisca a primary teacher at Kabingo Primary school and Mutembeyi Joshua a resident of Isingiro  district and the fifth person was yet to be identified by press time.

The DPC advised the public and drivers to watch traffic rules and signs on the road to avoid accidents.
