AS schools were opening for a new term last month, one school was not lucky. Pupils of St. James Church of Uganda Primary School Bwaise, Kampala, were shocked to hear that their school had been closed.
Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) closed St. James Church of Uganda Primary School because of lack of proper hygiene. KCCA is an organisation responsible for managing Kampala city. Whenever it rained, floods flowing through Lubigi channel would fill up the classrooms, making it difficult for children to learn.
The parents were advised to look for admission from neighbouring schools. It was a painful experience, especially for the pupils.
