“I thought I was going to make aggregate 8 out of 8 subjects,” Victor Musiime of Makerere College said when he received his Senior Four results.
He scored aggregate 17, with distinction one in English and Physics, distinction two in Maths, Biology, history and credit three in Chemistry and Agriculture. Musiime said his challenge was the Geography exam on field work about a farm an fish landing site that they had not visited.
The first born in a family of two says that he wants PCB/M at A ‘level. He says he wants to become a neurosurgeon because there are very few in Uganda.
Meanwhile, another student says he feared the results.
"Before I got the results I was nervous. I only picked the courage to send text to UNEB after my friends rang and encouraged me to find out my performance.
"Even still, I had to hide in my bedroom before sending the text. "
Amuje, a former student of Lakeside College, Luzira scored aggregate nine in eight subjects emerging second best in the school.
Although Amuje says he kept awake in the nights to revise and held discussions with his class mates, he attributes his success to his dedicated teachers.
He said he was also inspired by his brother who is a doctor and a lecturer at Makerere University. Amuje wants to join Turkish Light College and offer PCB/M. He advises candidates to read hard and treasure their teachers’ advice.
