KCC continued limping in the Bell Uganda Super League with a loss to Water on Friday.
The Lugogo side that last won a match in November again found themselves on the receiving end in Luzira after a Ronald Musana strike.
The attacking midfielder, who joined Water from Villa on loan in the mid-season, got the lead in the 15 minute.
But KCC fought back and managed to equalise through Siraje Turyamureeba shortly afterwards.
But it was the hosts who had the last laugh. KCC was doing most of the attacking but Water again caught them on the break in a move calmly executed by Joseph Kayiira.
Water coach Charles Ayeko was full of praise for Musana who now has two goals from three matches. "His introduction to the team has added a lot of creativity to our attack."
Elsewhere, Express had to grit its teeth to overcome visiting Police.
It took an 85 minute long range shot by Yayo Lutimba for the Red Eagles to secure the three points at stake.
Lutimba's long ball slipped through Police goalkeeper Eddy Kaweesa legs into the net.
Police had started off well but was jolted when Jackson Kibirige was red carded in 73rd minute. Kibirige rough tackled Lutimba. Kibirige had come for injured Sula Lwanga eight minutes before.
