The woman who was reported missing in Katabi, Entebbe has been found dead, according to Police.

She was reportedly killed in a similar manner that over 20 women in Wakiso district have been killed.

Like any other normal day, Noah Musiba and his wife Harriet Nantongo woke up on a Wednesday morning and set off from their home in Kabaale B Zone, Katabi Town Council, Wakiso district to their respective work places.

When they reached the Main road in Abaita Ababiri, Musiba wished his wife a nice day.

Nantongo was headed for her work place in Nkumba-Bwaise, while Musiba headed to his carpentry workshop.

Natongo, 38, was never to be seen again.

Musiba says he became suspicious when he returned home at 11:00pm and his wife was not in the house;only their child was home. He said Nantongo is usually home by 7:30pm.

The following day, Musiba went to his sister-in-law's residence in Nkumba-Bwaise, hoping to find his nantongo, but she was not there either.

Both Noah and his sister-in-law, identified only as Namuddu, went to Nantongo workplace, but they were told that she left for home at around 5:00pm the previous day.

They decided to check the police station, just in case she had been arrested.

"We tried to search in all Police posts, including Mpala Police Post, Kasenyi Police Post and Entebbe Police Station, but she was not there," Musiba said.

They reported the case at Abaita Ababiri Police Post under SD Ref 12/14/09/17.

"We also checked Entebbe General Hospital and the Mulago mortuary, but she was not there," Musiba added.

Namuddu said she has spoken to her relatives, but they all say they have not seen Nantongo.

Gilbert Besigye, the Abaita Ababiri OC Station confirmed the disappearance of Harriet Nantongo and said there are currently no clues explaining what could have happened to Nantongo.

"We have mounted check points where she normally passed and we are also searching all bushes and plantations around Katabi Town Council," Besigye said.
