Uganda improves in FIFA rankings

Uganda's rise came after Cranes beat Egypt 1-0 in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers last month at Namboole.

Uganda has improved in the latest FIFA rankings. The Pearl of Africa is now ranked 71 out of 206 FIFA member countries. This was an improvement from last month when it was ranked 73.

Uganda collected 486 points and remains the best country in the CECAFA region in the latest rankings that were released today by the World soccer governing FIFA.

Uganda's rise came after Cranes beat Egypt 1-0 in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers last month at Namboole.

Egypt dropped from 25 to 30, but still remains Africa's best ranked country.

Other CECAFA Members

Kenya (88), Rwanda (118), Ethiopia (125), Sudan (138), Burundi (129), Tanzania (125), South Sudan (150), Djibouti (185), Eritrea and Somalia are joint 206th.
