Former Lweza coach joins Mbarara City

Bainomugisha who has coached a number of clubs, signed a one and half year deal with the Ankole Lions.

Former Lweza FC tactician Vialli Bainomugisha has been appointed as Mbarara City FC assistant coach.

Bainomugisha who has coached a number of clubs, signed a one and half year deal with the Ankole Lions. Some of the teams he has been in charge of include; Lweza FC, Water FC and Kisugu United.

He also led the Western Regional select team to 1-0 victory over Uganda Cranes in Kabale in the regional tour.

"I will give everything for the club to go in the direction we all want," said Bainomugisha.

Bainomugisha's arrival comes shortly after Mbarara City FC extended the contract of their head coach Richard Makumbi for another year.

There was speculation that Makumbi who led the club to the topflight would leave the team.

Mbarara City attained promotion alongside FUFA Big League champions Maroons and Masavu to replace the relegated sides-Sadolin Paints, JMC Hippos and Lweza
