Hordes turned up at The Square on Thursday afternoon for the opening of the Writivism Festival that went on until late in the night.

It was all about networking and sharing ideas on the future of storytelling and the arts industry, and how it can be made relevant to the society we live in.

This year, the festival has lined up among others, stage plays, panel discussions, book launches, exhibitions and music concerts.

The four day festival runs until Sunday and admission is free.
