National boxing team travels to Germany

Uganda is sending a team to the world Boxing Championships 2017 series that start in Hamburg in Germany on August 25.

The team that leaves for the games on Monday, was flagged off by NCS officials Zubair Galiwango and Nicholas Muramagi.

It includes boxers; Geoffrey Kakeeto, Muzamir Kakande, David Ayiti and coach Patrick Lihanda. The team manager is Fred Kavuma.

Galiwango promised to ensure that the boxers benefit from the president's pledge to reward athletes who win medals for the country

NCS gave the team four tickets and has paid accommodation for the team in Germany.
