Two women footballers leave for USA

Two Uganda female footballers left the country Monday to start their professional careers.

The Gafford Ladies FC players Joan Nakirya and Sandra Nantumbwe will join Redland Community College located in El Reno, Oklahoma USA for studies as well as football.

Henry Barungi who linked the two players to USA told New Vision that they will benefit from it.

"It a great opportunity for both players since it will build their career.  I encourage other players to stay focused since there are opportunities,"stated Barungi.

Nakirya and Nantumbwe join Sandra Nabweteme in the USA  who is currently with Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

Barungi teamed up with Nabweteme's coach Mark Pearson to have Nakirya and  Nantumbwe join Redland Community College.
