Uganda improves in latest FIFA rankings

Uganda collected 464 points and remains the best country in the CECAFA region.

Uganda has improved in the latest FIFA rankings. The Pearl of Africa are now ranked 73rd out of 206 FIFA member countries.

This was an improvement from last month where the 2016 best football country was 74th.

Uganda collected 464 points and remains the best country in the CECAFA region ahead of the 2018 World Cup qualifier double header against Egypt.

The  first leg  will be hosted on August 31 at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole while the return leg will be held on September 5th at Borg El Arab stadium, Alexandria.

Other CECAFA Members:

Kenya (82), Rwanda (119), Sudan (152), Burundi (132), Tanzania (120), South Sudan (148), Djibouti (192), Eritrea and Somalia are joint 206th. Ethiopia and Tanzania are also joint  120.

Brazil still leads the global rankings as Egypt (25) is the best on the African continent.

The next ranking will come out in early September.
