Kizza who has been undergoing trials with the Serbian club claims that Kakembo tampered with his contract

Former SC Villa CEO Ivan Kakembo has dismissed reports that he was the reason Martin Kizza failed to complete his transfer to Serbian side Spartak Subotica.

Kizza who has been undergoing trials with the Serbian club claims that Kakembo tampered with his contract thus affecting his move.

"I hope you are doing well. This morning, a certain website ran a story quoting Martin Kizza, a former player at SC Villa. In the story, Kizza is quoted as saying that his move to a Serbian club has fallen through because I tampered with his contract during my time as SC Villa Chief Executive Officer," Kakembo said.

"During the negotiations, Kizza's representatives agreed a three-year contract with the club president, Ben Immanuel Misagga. I was only called to draft the contract. And the player signed on each page of the contract, as a standard procedure at the club. He was given a copy, Fufa took one and the club remained with one. Anyone is free to follow up with those parties. Therefore, I want to dismiss the story as baseless, for it lacks facts. Failure for him and the website to desist from tarnishing my name shall lead me to seek legal redress", Kakembo stated through press release."
