Kabarole chairperson appoints new executive leadership

Kabarole district chairperson Richard Rwabuhinga has appointed a new district executive team hardly a month after Bunyangabu district was separated from Kabarole district.

Rwabuhinga said that the operationalization of Bunyangabu district left three vacancies within the district executive committee.

The executive members who left for Bunyangabu include Moses Ikagobya, former vice chairperson and secretary for works, water and sanitation, Peter Musinguzi secretary for finance, planning and administration and Hussein Kato former deputy speaker.

Rwabuhinga appointed Margaret Kihiika as his vice chairperson and secretary for production and natural resources, Augustine Kisembo, councilor from Mugusu as secretary for finance, planning and administration, Aaron Byakutaga from Karangura sub county secretary for works, water and sanitation and Florence Kadoma from Bukuku Sub County as secretary for gender and community development.

Rwabuhinga stated that the appointment of his new executive committee was based on moral integrity, gender and regional balance, expertise in politics and public affairs and education background.

The same council elected Matthew Koojo from Kiko Town Council as deputy speaker beating his rival Peter Trump Bazira of Kicwamba Sub County.
