Motocross: Akaki and Akena look to continue impressive form

The Obote brothers, Milton Akaki and Akena hope to continue their impressive form in the fifth round of the Mountain Dew national motocross championship.

Their trainer Ahmed Tamale said in an interview that his boys are targeting the top two positions on Sunday.

"We are training and the boys are in good shape to take on any challenge," Tamale stated.

Akaki (159 pts) in third position and Akena (171 pts) in second position will face a tough challenge from table leader Malcom Lubega (178pts).

"We are aware of the challenge Malcom will give us but we have laid a strategy and am confident this time we shall get the 1-2 finish as winning the championship is our target," Tamale said.

Imran Nkurunziza, Habibu Kiggundu, Amina Zawedde, Jonathan Muhindo, Ashi Mbabazi, Marcus Bukenya, Jeremiah Mawanda,Shadia Kateete,Junju Telvin, Adam Swisa,Julian Kikuba, smail Sambo,Kailad Wekesa are the other riders.

Meanwhile, in the 50cc class,  Gift Ssebuguzi takes on reigning champion Isabella Blick.

Ssebuguzi on 192 points, is trailing Blick (220pts) by 28 points and is looking to close the gap.

"We have trained, we beat her in Garuga and we shall see what comes at the end of the event," Ronald Ssebuguzi, Gift's father stated.

Malcom Omoding, Mubarak Senoga,Ron Young, Daryl Muhindo, Imran Musiitwa, Emmanuel Lubega, Abigail Mwangala,Shamira Kateete, Feni Drate, Kawthara Balinda and Barbara Atusasire are the other riders in that class.
