IN BRIEF

The ministry of lands has agreed with the finance ministry to release funds to facilitate the commission of inquiry on land headed by Justice Catherine Bamugemereire.

The commission stopped public hearings to make a report on land disputes because it had run out of money to facilitate witnesses.

Lands minister Betty Amongi said government has the goodwill to facilitate the commission because the president is interested in addressing land issues.
