Goalkeeping coaches underwent one-day clinic to improve their skills at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo.

The first edition of this clinic consisted of active and retired coaches from the Azam Uganda Premier League, the FUFA Big League and other regional leagues.

"FUFA has an initiative for capacity building with specialised training like the goalkeeping department," said FUFA Technical Director Asuman Lubowa after opening the clinic.

Twenty-seven participants took part in the clinic that was conducted by CAF goalkeeping instructor Sadiq Wassa with the help of David Kiwanuka, Sam Kawalya, Stephen Billy Kiguddu and Uganda Cranes Captain goalkeeper Denis Masinde Onyango.

"Goalkeeping is no longer about diving only, coaches and players should keep up to date with the modern tactics and get to know the reasons why prominent goalkeepers perform well and keep on form for a  long period of time,"said Onyango
