"You are here to be formed humanly, spiritually and academically. You are the Church of today and tomorrow. Know that your success has to build on four pillars which are faith, skills, discipline and hard work,"Bainomugisha said.
He was delivering his homily during the thanksgiving mass for Saint Henry's College Kitovu (Shack) Day, which was held at the school in Masaka District on Saturday (July 15).
Bainomugisha later asked the students of Kitovu to be agents of improvement in order to develop the school and the country. During the mass, Bainomugisha confirmed 30 students of Kitovu into the Catholic faith.
The Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Rebecca Kadaga (the Chief Guest), asked educationists to support the campaign of planting trees, to save the country from the effects of climate change.
"You are 1,300 students here. If each one of you planted five trees, we would have so many tees and the unfavorable climatic changes would be subdued," she said.
Kadaga later broke the ground for the construction of the sh1.2bn Since Laboratory, which is one of the projects of the centenary of the school, which will take place in 2022.
The head teacher, Bro Augustine Mugabo said that the school would put even greater emphasis on academic excellence and infrastructure development. He mentioned the proposed science laboratory and the multi-purpose hall as some of the school's centennial projects.
The function was graced by many alumni, parents and friends of the school.
