Muleme who was a key player for KCCA in the CAF Confederation Cup

KCCA FC left back Isaac Muleme has promised to carry his club form to the Uganda Cranes team as the national side prepares to face South Sudan this Friday in Juba in the 2018 Total Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier.

Muleme who was a key player for KCCA in the CAF Confederation Cup despite they exit, feels he is ready for the national side.

"I am delighted that I'm part of the national team and I'm committed and ready to serve. I believe I will have the same performance I have had at KCCA FC. We have learnt a lot from the CAF confederation cup and I think if we can maintain the same intensity on the national team, we shall overcome South Sudan,"stated Muleme.

Muleme who was part of the Cranes team that beat Cape Verde in Praia in AFCON Qualifiers, is among the eight KCCA players that joined the national side. Others include; Paul Musamali,Paul Mucureezi,Timothy Dennis Awany,Derrick Nsibambi,Geoffrey Serunkuuma,Brian Majwega and Muzamir Mutyaba.

A squad of 18 players leaves today  for South Sudan.

The winner between South Sudan and Uganda will face either Tanzania or Rwanda for a slot to next year's championship in Kenya
