Canon Magezi elected Bishop of North West Ankole

Canon Amos Magezi has today been elected Bishop of North West Ankole.

Magezi who is currently the provincial secretary of the Church of Uganda has been elected by the House of Bishops.

Prior to assuming the position of Provincial Secretary in January 2014, Magezi was serving as the Dean of St. James Cathedral, Ruharo and Bishop's Commissar Ankole Diocese.

Magezi was the founding director and principal of the Uganda Bible Institute.

He was elected Bishop of North West Ankole by Bishops seating in Lweza, Wakiso District.

He is married to Jean Nyonyozi Magezi and they have six children.
