Club Africain thumped KCCA 4-0 in Tunis to put to end their campaign

Despite KCCA's elimination from the CAF Confederation Cup, coach Mike Mutebi feels it was a learning process for his players.

Club Africain thumped KCCA 4-0 in Tunis to put to end their dreams of qualifying for the quarterfinals.

"It was a great experience to us because no one had played in the team had played up to this level. It is sad that we bow out in such a manner. The future is bright for us, because we are an emerging force on the continent but we were able to weigh ourselves against some of the best teams on the continent. I believe this will help us become stronger," stated Mutebi.

"I wouldn't worry that we were outplayed. I think experience came to the fore, they knew how to handle themselves in such situations and they edged us on that," he added.

Mutebi also believes his side will be better side in their next attempt in the CAF Champions League next year.

"We have a young side with an average age of 24. I think the first attempt was not disappointing, we can only improve on the next attempt", he said.

KCCA who finished third in Group A with nine points became the first Ugandan club to qualify for the group stages of CAF Confederation Cup.

In total the team played 12 matches on the continent, winning 5 games, drawing one and losing six.

The team scored 12 goals and conceded 18.
