Kyadondo East: FDC rallies opposition to back Kantinti

“Kantinti is the best candidate in the race and we can already see him merging as the winner”

Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party, has called on other oppositions parties to give support to their candidate in the Kyadondo East by-election.

They also urged all party supporters to turn up in big numbers on polling day for to cast their votes and also protect their votes. Polling is slated to take place on Thursday.

Four candidates including; Apollo Kantinti (FDC), Sitenda Sebalu (National Resistance Movement), musician Robert Kyagulanyi, Muwada Nkunyingi and Kasasa Edward (all independents) are fighting for the seat.

The party's deputy publicist, Paul Mwiru said; "as FDC we are very sure of winning this vote".

He told journalists at the party's weekly press briefing, at the party headquarters in Najjanankumbi on Monday.

"Kantinti is the best candidate in the race and we can already see him merging as the winner," Mwiru said.

He said the trend on the ground already indicates that the voters from the constituency are showing overwhelming support to the party's candidate, stressing that there is difference between fans and voters.

"There is no possibility of losing this election. Even the Democratic Party (DP) affirmed this by withdrawing their candidate from the race." Mwiru added.

He stressed that Kantinti is the only opposition candidate in the race since DP withdrew their candidate Lilian Babirye Kamoome from the face.

"DP finally realized that Kantinti is the choice with the capacity to guide Kyadondo to development" he added.
