SC Villa CEO Kakembo resigns

Kakembo’s resignation follows a press release he sent out last week stating that he had taken leave.

Ivan Kakembo has resigned as SC Villa CEO. Kakembo who has been in the position for three years cited unconducive work environment as the reason for his resignation.

"I wasn't feeling comfortable to continue working in unconducive environment at SC Villa," Kakembo stated.

Kakembo's resignation follows a press release he sent out last week stating that he had taken leave.

But one club official who preferred anonymity told New Vision that they had not received any official communication that Kakembo had stepped down.

Kakembo's departure follows that of club captain Taddeo Lwanga, Umar Kasumba,Dennis Kamanzi and Paul Mbowa.

Lwanga and Kasumba joined Vipers SC and Kenyan side, Sofapaka while Mbowa and Kamanzi signed for URA FC.
