DISBURSMENT OF SUB GRANTS TO COMMUNITY BASED ORGANISATIONS (CBOs) TO SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY FACILITY LINKAGES AND REFFERAL FRAMEWORK IN RWENZORI REGION

Baylor-Uganda rolled out the Community Health Facility Linkages Framework in the Rwenzori region. Implementation has kicked off across all the 7 districts of Kabarole, Kyenjojo, Kyegegwa, Ntoroko, Bundibugyo, Kamwenge and Kasese.

The core package of community based services is focused on evidence-based interventions that complement and/or extend facility based services.

These are organized around the 90- 90-90 targets and combination prevention framework, and are informed by the need for

1) identifying more HIV-positive individuals through improved contact tracing and targeted community based testing,

2) the differentiated service delivery approach

3) the importance of addressing social and community factors affecting adherence and retention,

4) the benefits of case management, and 5) leveraging the OVC platform.
