The Inspector General of Police General Kale Kayihura is in Gulu Municipality, few days after death of deputy town clerk John Oola.

Kayihura went to address the boda-boda riders and residents on the increasing crimes in Gulu Municipality.

He walked on foot from the Gulu Central Police Station to Kanyangoga Parish in Gulu Municipality up to the scene of crime where Ooola was murdered. He is also expected to visit the grieved family.

Oola was killed during the wee hours of Tuesday morning in Kanyangoga Parish in Gulu Municipality by unknown people after he dropped a woman, who was identified as Alice Kipwola at her home.

Kipwola has been detained by the police in connection with murder. Other three suspects have also been arrested, according to Gulu Regional Police Commander Bosco Otim.

Gulu Municipality has recently seen a rise in crimes in which goons commonly known as iron bar hit men strike residents either early in the morning or in the wee hours of the night.
