CONSULTANCY SERVICES TO OFFER TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR MONITORING, OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF SOLAR POWERED WATER SUPPLY SYSTEMS IN RURAL AREAS
The Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Water and Environment has allocated funds towards undertaking consultancy Services to offer technical support for monitoring, operation and maintenance of solar powered water supply systems in rural areas
The overall objective of the consultancy assignment is to offer technical support for monitoring, operation and maintenance of solar powered water supply systems in rural areas
Specific objectives:
The specific objectives of the assignment include:
• To offer quarterly preventive (routine maintenance) which include servicing the installations of the energy packages (solar modules, mounting structures, inverters, water pump, valves sensors.
• To provide condition based maintenance that's to say monitoring the state of health of equipment versus the actual life as specified by the manufacturer's warranty and guarantee requirements.
• To recommend to the maintenance contractor for corrective maintenance on the supply, delivery and installation for parts to be replaced and or the repairing of such parts that have failed.
• To offer continuous capacity building and institutional support( training, O&M manuals, hands-on training, performance assessments, data recording and analysis)
The short listing criteria will include: Three (3) years of clear understanding and experience in offering technical support for monitoring, operation and maintenance of solar powered water supply systems in rural areas.
