Vipers, Onduparaka eliminated from the Uganda Cup

Last season finalists Vipers and Onduparaka received setbacks over the weekend after they were eliminated from Uganda Cup.

Vipers went down to FUFA Big League side Paidha Black Angels from Zombo 1-0 at St Mary's stadium in Kitende. This was Vipers first defeat at their new stadium.

Fred Ameko capitalized on a defensive mixup between midfielder Siraje Sentamu and defender Halid Lwaliwa to score Paidha Black Angels' only goal in the 29th minute.

Elsewhere, Fred Kyambadde and Nasser Muzamiru each had a goal as Sadolin Piants ejected Onduparaka 2-1 at Mandela  national stadium, Namboole. Samson Ceasar Okhuti scored a consolation for West Nile side. 

In the other quarterfinal matches, URA will host Express at Lugazi on Tuesday, while Police awaits the winner between Kataka and KCCA in the round of 16.

This year's Uganda Cup will be held in Arua. The winners of the Uganda Cup represents the country in the CAF Confederation Cup.
