Nambooze responded, "We can only leave this place after talking to the media and we are not leaving this place Mr. Police officer now or else arrest me. We have paid for this venue and we are not in danger."

Omonyi accused Nambooze and her supporters of holding a conference that would bring insecurity, adding that, "We have learnt that there is a group coming to fight you here, and we have to ensure your security. Therefore we advise you vacate the premise."

Following the scuffle, the OC Kabalagala police station was seen making phone calls and later conceded and allowed Nambooze to address the press on grounds.
