Kabaka's Birthday Run

The management and staff of Excel Insurance Company has not only contributed to the Kabaka Birthday Run by buying tickets, but will also be there to participate in a show of loyalty to Buganda Kingdom.

The company's public relations manager, Lydia Muganga, disclosed the development on Tuesday at a function where Vision Group CEO Robert Kabushenga handed over kits for the highly anticipated run at the company's offices on Kampala Road.

"We appreciate the role Kabushenga has played for the Kabaka cause and we will continue supporting this even next year," Excel's acting general manager Robert Musiitwa stated.

"This is one way of giving back to our loyal clients who have supported us for such a long time," Musiitwa added.

Kabushenga who is also the chairman organising committee of the event lauded Excel Insurance for the support and continued to appeal to other corporates to join this noble cause.

"I want to thank Excel for the support. This is not just to celebrate our Kabaka's birthday and also to give back to your (Excel) clients, but the most important is that we are helping the poor who are suffering from this sickle cell disease," Kabushenga said.

"We are actually creating awareness about this killer disease and that is the most important part and I thank you for the support," Kabushenga added.

Tickets for the run go for only sh10,000 and can be got at Vision Group offices, Airtel head offices along Wampewo Avenue, PostBank branches in Ndeeba, Jinja Road, Kikuubo and Nkrumah Road branches.
