Police recovers two bodies of drowned Busitema students

Police have retrieved two bodies of Busitema University students who drowned in Lake Victoria over the weekend. 

Three students drowned at Sangalo Beach in Busia district where they had a handover party for the leadership of the Iteso Association of Busitema University. 

The deceased are Nathan Amolu, Jim Reeves Mwesigwa and Democious Asiimwe. 

Bukedi Region Police spokesperson Sowali Kamuluya said Police is still searching for the third body.

"We have recovered Nathan Amolu's body but the search still continues for the third person and we are using all the possible methods and equipment" Kamuluya said.
