Most post-match interviews with footballers are pretty straight forward.
They normally mention how it was a "great three points for the team" and refer to how it was a "team effort" from everybody.
But for Mohammed Anas of the Free State Stars in South Africa, that team effort appeared to take on whole different meaning.
Following the 2-2 draw with Ajax Cape Town on Friday, where he scored two goals for his side, Anas began by thanking God and then the club's fans following his performance.
Things quickly took a turn for the worse for the 22-year-old, however, who hilariously then thanked his "wife and girlfriend".
He said: “Thank you for this, I appreciate my fans. My wife and my girlfriend… I mean my wife, sorry.”
Realising his blunder straight away, Anas went on to make amends and offered an apologetic look to the camera as he continued.
"I'm so sorry," said the sheepish star. "I love you so much, I love you so much from my heart!"
Embarrassed from the error, Anas could hardly string a sentence together for the rest of the interview.
