A Premier League match that had been slated for Tuesday is a doubt.

Nakivubo Stadium in downtown Kampala has been fenced off for redevelopment, leaving an atmosphere of confusion and uncertainty among football fans and traders alike.

A Uganda Premier League match that had been slated for Tuesday afternoon between Police FC and Onduparaka FC remains in doubt.

Plans to redevelop this area started Monday with the fencing off of Parkyard Market amid heavy police presence.

City tycoon Ham Kiggundu of Ham Enterprises won a contract to redevelop Nakivubo Stadium after various halts from opposing parties.

Plans to revamp the stadium into a modern state-of-the-art sports complex have already been handed over to Kiggundu.

According to the plan presented to president Yoweri Museveni by Ham in 2015, the stadium will contain various sports equipment, have shops and a spacious parking lot which can facilitate almost 1000 cars.
