FUFA throws Buikwe out of women's league

I can confirm that your club has played less than 50% of the league i.e. not completed first round of the league

FUFA has demoted Buikwe She Red Stars Women FC from its elite league 2016/17 after the club's failure to honour three consecutive matches without written explanation.

FUFA competitions director Ali Mwebe has confirmed the decision arguing that skipping three matches contravenes rules of the competitions in article 24 of FUFA competitions rules.

"I can confirm that your club has played less than 50% of the league i.e. not completed first round of the league. Therefore, article 24(10) of FUFA competitions rules has been invoked," Mwebe wrote in a communication to the club.

According to FUFA, Buikwe She Red Stars missed matches against Kawempe Muslim in Kawempe, home game against Western United and the third against London Stallions at Seeta.

"Should you feel aggrieved by the decision, you are at liberty of appealing to FUFA Disciplinary Committee within 7 days from the date of communication of the current decision," Mwebe added.

Thus, all results from teams that played with Buikwe She Red Stars will be expunged from the table standing.
