Buffaloes manager Edgar Lemerigar has been left to grapple with the news

When your team is enjoying a rich vein of form, the worst thing that can happen, is some sort of injury or in the case of Toyota Buffaloes manager, losing your best players to international call-ups.

Buffaloes manager Edgar Lemerigar has been left to grapple with the news that a good section of his team has been summoned for
international duty both with the 7's and the 15's sides.

Speaking after his team's narrow 24-19 loss to local home ground rivals Hima Cement Heathens, Lemerigar emphasised his team's disadvantage.

"The Toyota buffaloes are at the moment the hub for the national team. We are about to lose some of our teams most vital members at a time when we need them," he said.

Lemerigar recalled how he lost some of his vital players like national Sevens Captain Eric Kasiita, Kevin Keremundu and Solomon Okias to the Dubai and Cape Town Circuits at the beginning of the season.

"At the beginning of the current season we lost some players to the sevens national team and with it we lost some vital games as vital games. Since the Gulu game is now a bye, we shall use that day to polish a few things before we get back to the harder teams," Lemerigar emphasized.
