Just like a few other Ugandan musicians, 2016 was a big year for David Lutalo, particularly in music. He started off last year with a successful concert titled Manya at Hotel Africana, Kampala to which he subsequently released hits that dominated the airwaves. It is the same year Lutalo made gigantic strides by eating into the upscale audience.

Today, he doesn't only sing for the Kadongo Kamu kind of audience; the raga or RnB kind will listen to his tunes on any day. That makes him an eclectic musician—not limited by a certain style. That just surfaced at his show, dubbed Onsanula at Hotel Africana last Friday night. The audience that turned up at his show was a mixture of the young and the old, the uptown and the downtown.

Also performance wise, the show saw diverse kinds of musicians, ranging Fred Sebata, Mathias Walukaga, Bobi Wine, Sheebah, Gravity Omutujju to Ceaserous, all of whom spiced up the excitement. The event attracted quite a huge crowd, not much different from last year's concert.

It was an ecstatic audience with full energy and support , thunderous screams welcomed him as he stepped on stage a few minutes into 10.p.m. He put up a good act, though the sound was not one you would love to have for a vocalist. Sometimes, it didn't only distort his vocals but also sounds of the acoustic and the bass guitar. Fashion wise, unlike the previous shows where he dressed like a decorated Christmas tree, this time Lutalo went for simplicity with just a simple suit.

His back up and band was on point. He also made dance an integral part of his musical act, where his energetic dancers kept reveler's eyes glued on stage.
