AFCON 2017: Uganda Cranes receives sh1.7b

Uganda Cranes has received $475,000 (sh1.7 b) for finishing fourth in group D in the ongoing the 2017 Africa Nations Cup in Gabon.

Cranes who settled for a 1 all draw with Mali in their last game of the group stages, managed to register a point in the tournament on Wednesday

The winner of the tournament will walk away with $4,000,000 (sh14b) while runners-up will take home $2,000,000(sh7b).

Losing semi-finalists and quarter-finalists will each take home $ 1,500,000 (sh5.25 b) and $ 800,000 (sh2.8 b) respectively. Each team that will finish third and fourth positions in the group stages will earn $ 575,000 (sh2b) and $475,000 (sh1.66).
