Cranes striker Emmanuel Okwi has left Danish club SønderjyskE after the club terminated his contract.

Okwi has struggled for playing time at the club he joined two years ago and his release was confirmed by sports manager Hans Jørgen Haysen through a statement on club's website.

"Okwi has not received much playing time with us, and the prospect of more playing time has not improved. We have therefore by mutual agreement agreed to separate our ways. I wish him well in the future" stated Haysen.

Okwi featured for SønderjyskE in Alka Super League only four matches and also featured twice in DBU Cup, where he notched a double.

The former SC Villa player although overlooked for AFCON 2017 that is ongoing in Gabon, was a vital part of the qualification campaign.
