UPL secretariat nullified the result of the match which ended in a 1-0 in favour of JMC Hippos FC

The Uganda Premier League (UPL) has awarded Express FC three points. This comes after the club petitioned the secretariat alleging that JMC Hippos FC fielded ineligible players during a league game between the two teams on Friday at Kakindu Stadium.

Basing on the referee's match report, the UPL secretariat nullified the result of the match which ended in a 1-0 in favour of JMC Hippos FC and awarded Express FC 3 points and 3 goals

This was in accordance with Article 19(10) & (11) of FUFA Competitions Rules 2016/2017 which states that; Only FUFA licensed players shall be eligible to play in FUFA Competitions and that a club that fields an ineligible player shall lose the match by forfeiture to the opposing team.

JMC Hippos FC has a right of appeal against the UPL secretariat's decision if they are dissatisfied with the ruling.
